The purpose of this publication is to provide an understanding of the RAMCAP Plus process in order to identify, prioritize and coordinate preparedness of the nation's critical infrastructure, including protection (avoiding hazardous events or their consequences) and resilience (rapid return to full function after those events that occur).
RAMCAP stands for Risk Analysis and Management for Critical Asset Protection; the RAMCAP Plus process is a high-level approach that can be tailored to various sectors, thereby providing a mechanism for comparing risk and risk-management benefits at scales ranging from assets to whole sectors of the economy
